Frequently asked questions

Is this the official DV Lottery website?

No. We're an independent tool that checks photos. The only official place to enter the Diversity Visa program is dvprogram.state.gov. We never submit entries for you.

Why do photos get rejected?

The most common reasons: head too small or too large, eyes outside the allowed band, glasses, shadows, a non-white background, a photo older than 6 months, or reusing last year's photo. A wrong photo can disqualify your entry, even if you are selected.

Is the check really free?

Yes. The check is free and unlimited. The first ready photo is free too — we send it to your email. Next photos cost $2.99, or $5.99 for a family package of up to 6 photos.

What happens to my photo?

It's processed on our server (a reduced copy is also checked by our AI provider) and automatically deleted within 24 hours (7 days if you bought the corrected photo, so you can download it again). We don't use photos for training.

Does a passed check guarantee acceptance?

No tool can guarantee it — the final decision is made by the Department of State. We check every measurable requirement against the official template; please also review the manual checklist.

Can I use the same photo for a U.S. visa?

The U.S. visa (DS-160) photo has the same composition rules. Choose "U.S. visa" above: it allows sizes from 600×600 to 1200×1200 px.

Check your photo before you enter

A photo that breaks the rules disqualifies the entry, and you can enter only once a year. Checking is free and needs no sign-up.
